LED as the Adjunct: The Universal Module in Any Protocol
Why LED Fits Everywhere
Three properties define LED’s adjunct role: non-thermal (stacks with no trauma), zero downtime (treat and go) and flexible dosing (10-20 minute units). It replaces nothing but buffs nearly everything (principles in the LED entry).
Four Insertion Points
- Immediately post-procedure: 10-15 minutes red light after laser/microneedle/RF to speed erythema fade (see erythema management).
- Between sessions: 2-3× weekly blue (oily/acne) or red (repair) keeps progress alive in the gaps.
- Same-day combos: pairs with IPL, infusion and other non-invasive work — project first, LED finishes.
- Home extension: compliant home units sustain in-clinic dosing between visits (see homecare compliance).

FAQ
Does LED dilute the program’s value?
The opposite — it turns recovery gaps into “still being cared for” experiences; the cheapest, most felt component of any course card.
LED after every treatment?
Nearly all; the only exception is the strict photophobia window after PDT. With obvious exudate, dress the wound first, then light.
